The weekend of Julia's Bat Mitzvah is the annual Brandwine Festival of the Arts. The juried art fair takes place practically across the street from Congregation Beth Shalom on Satuday, September 6 and Sunday September 7. Admission is $5 and incudes free access to the Brandwine zoo.

Delaware does not charge a sales tax. So shop to your hearts content and save! Christiana Mall and Concord Mall are two area malls, plus there's several stores in-between.

Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, Hagley, Delaware Museum of Natural History are just a few area attractions.
